We have all heard the headlines but now there is an opportunity to learn more – The attacks in Paris, Charlie Hebo shooting, and millions of people in Europe’s mass migration. What is the role of organized crime in all of this?
France’s National Police Force, the Gendarmerie, is on the front lines of fighting terrorism and organized crime. We will have a situational analysis that goes beyond the headlines. Join us for an interesting evening with former French Police Executive Richard Leborgne, a seasoned veteran, and our newest ASIS Ottawa member.
Richard Leborgne, Msc, is a part-time professor at Algonquin’s College Police & Public Safety Institute (PPSI); Bachelor of Public Safety program.
Prior to his arrival in Ottawa earlier this summer, Richard was Captain with the Gendarmerie Nationale (French law enforcement) for more than 17 years. For the past five years, he has held the positions of deputy head of a public safety district where he managed 100+ police officers in the West of France, and also head of a criminal investigation squad specialized in homicides and organised crime, in the East of France.
